Claim your community’s page

Every culture page on FirstCiv today is a reference edition, built from openly-licensed sources. It belongs, by right, to the community it describes. If that community is yours, you can claim stewardship of the page here.

How this works — honestly
  • This is a human process. A person reads every claim; nothing is automated and no AI decides anything.
  • We verify claims by direct contact — we will write to you, talk with you, and where possible confirm with community organisations.
  • Verified stewards hold authority over how their culture is represented here — including correcting, restricting or taking down content.
  • Claiming is free, and it commits you to nothing. It opens a conversation.
For example: elder, council member, language teacher, cultural officer, archivist.
A community council, cultural centre, school or association — optional.
We verify every claim by direct contact — this is the address we will write to.
Tell us, in your own words, how you are connected to this community and on whose behalf you are claiming. A few sentences is enough.

Sending a claim starts a conversation with a person. It does not change the page, grant automated access, or create any obligation on your part.
